Old Introduction
If you enjoy just doing scenes, great! BUT if your scenes don't feel like enough, that's because.....
They aren't enough. Scenes are shallow. There should be A LOT MORE in a D/s relationship. We submissives need to be controlled and dominated. Dominants need to feel control of another human being. The scenes aren't enough for them either.
And the submissive fantasy is ALL WRONG. Yes, that uncaring psychopathic dominant is really hot. But it's a bad hot. Uncaring domination isn't good for you. And it isn't even good for the dominant.
The Way It is Supposed to Be
Domination and submission is supposed to be about good feelings.
Domination should make the submissive feel more submissive to that dominant. The submissive can get a crush on the dominant. It can make the submissive ache to make the dominant happy.
Submission is supposed to make the dominant feel more confident. And it is also supposed to trigger feelings of caring and protection.
So the sub and the dominant are supposed to be friends and at least like each other. There is supposed to be a powerful connection, and it is supposed to be a good connection.
Different Paths
Submissives AND dominants desperately need better choices.
And there are better choices. But they aren't easy to find.
That's what Different Paths is about. People exploring different choices and telling others what they have found. Putting our minds together to figure out how to solve these problems. If people come here and only know the stupid fantasy, showing them at least that there are other choices.
Explore
One question is, what should a good D/s relationship be like? Everyone is different. But you should know what is possible. There are some beautiful choices.
Then explore.
The other question is how to get to where you might want to go. How do you find that caring dominant, or that submissive that thrills you? How can you be that good dominant or that enjoyable submissive? |
